POSITION OVERVIEW
The Product Manager will oversee the full product development cycle, turning stakeholder input into clear, actionable requirements and working with engineering to deliver effective solutions. They will act as a key communicator and advisor, keeping teams and stakeholders informed of progress while also evangelizing product value and vision both internally and externally. This role also includes conducting market research and competitive analysis to inform product decisions, while managing the lifecycle from concept to release to meet customer and business needs.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
- Product Development
- Listen to internal and external stakeholders and effectively translate their needs, pain points and value opportunities to product requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering on how to solve the right problems when implementing features while following established design principles and precedents.
- Produce complete, accurate requirements for the engineering teams.
- Handle mid-development questions or necessary changes to requirements.
- Ensure a produced feature is ready for feature review and eventual inclusion in a product release.
- Monitor and communicate the status of board items.
- Design UX Mock-ups for new features.
- Understand, follow and help improve the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Contribute well-informed thoughts and opinions about customer feedback and feature ideas when determining feasibility, priority and value.
- Communication
- Inform customers and / or the sales team on the status of customer requests using appropriate language and setting the right expectations.
- Work with other product managers in a collaborative environment to solve challenges.
- Work directly with the engineering and quality teams to minimize points of friction in the development process.
- Perform written and verbal communication to customers, partners and prospects with knowledge, confidence and integrity.
- Demonstrate and communicate product value and capabilities to both internal and external audiences.
- Be a thought leader regarding the KnowledgeLake platform and how it is involved in building solutions.
- Answer product and solutioning questions raised by the other customer-facing teams.
- Research
- Stay informed on product management practices and communicate those ideas to the rest of the team.
- Be ready to experiment with procedures and processes to continually improve the effectiveness of the product team.
- Stay informed of general technology trends impacting KnowledgeLake's industry and use that knowledge during product development.
- Perform market research and competitive analysis, especially regarding validating product-market fit.
- Occasional on-site customer and partner visits, requiring travel
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
The following are the qualifications an individual should meet to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Experience
- 3+ years with an enterprise B2B software organization.
- 2+ years on a product team.
- 1+ years with AI-powered technology.
- 1+ years with process automation or intelligent document process (IDP) software.
Skills/Abilities

- Market research and competitive analysis
- Scripting using JavaScript
- Prompt engineering for tools such as Chat-GPT

- Valid state Driver's License
Travel Required
- Some travel in the US
- In-Office 2 Days / week a plus
